I know this is overdue, but I figured I still needed to comment on the Qnix monitor.
I finally set it up this weekend. I originally oc'd it to 120, and it worked just fine. No dead pixels. Once in a while i'd get a green line @ 120, but I do believe the monitor was just warming up. I settled...
It's one of those monitors that you can OC, you could do anywhere from 60-144 i believe. I just got one today; I haven't set it up yet. Between newegg and amazon though, you can't beat the stellar reviews.
I ended up getting this 27 inch 120 hz 1440 ips monitor for 325 -
Amazon.com: QNIX QX2710 Evolution II 27" LED Monitor: Computers & Accessories
I'll more than likely still get a g-sync though, as I'd like to have a tri- monitor setup (i only game on one monitor at a time).
I probably will get a gysnc whenever they do hit heh; just saw the one I listed and seemed like quite a good deal. 27 inch, 120 ghz IPS, 1440 reso monitor for 325 seems awesome.
As for the cooling I read a lot of reviews and went with

Ya, its ordered :(.
Ah well.
FYI to those using newegg coming up, they are a bit behind on packing and shipping items. Could be a few days before your stuff moves.
Sky you are 100% right, on multiple parts. While true i could be getting 4 titans/780's; i think that kind of build actually would have another term, even more majestic than "over the top".
Regardless, as far as the power supply suggestion I completely agree with you. I ended up with -...
So based on that. I've kind of narrowed it down to these -
Amazon.com: SanDisk Extreme II 480 GB SATA 6.0 Gbs 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SDSSDXP-480G-G25: Computers & Accessories
Amazon.com: Corsair Neutron Series GTX 480GB 6Gbps SATA 3 Exclusive LAMD LM87800 2.5-Inch Synchronous Solid State...
That makes more sense. I guess I was a bit confused on the differences. In that event, I may go with the 256 gb ssd and put more reliance on the big tb one for storage. And no, I'm by no means dead set on samsung. If you guys think there is a better 256/512 variant out there by all means let me...
I really do think this is more than most would spend on gaming rigs honestly. You are right though, i could go the dual GPU route, but I really don't see a huge benefit as I'm not going to be doing anything over that 1440 resolution monitor. Granted, i'll have a few monitors plugged in, but...
Intel Core i7-4930K, EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, NZXT H630 - System Build - PCPartPicker
The only thing right now I question is possibly the mobo/SSD choice. I thought about going with a 256 variant with a larger 1tb + regular HDD.
Any other critiques?
