The GTX 970's Memory Explained & Tested (Comment Thread)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNGi06cq_pQ Don't worry, we've got the Downfall angle covered too.

Dell to release 5k monitor in the near future

Speaking as someone who loves his 30", I can't imagine packing over 3 times the pixels into a smaller area. If I need this kind of resolution, I need a lot more than 27" to display it on. For a professional, who would likely spend all day staring at it, even more so.

    Swiftech H220X Finally released.

I can see it being a tight fit, but my first impression was that the pump/res portion would clear the mobo, whereas the combination of the H220' having attachments (res and hose couplings) or opposite ends might case grief. But appearances can be deceiving I suppose - thank god for Swiftech...

    Swiftech H220X Finally released.

Nice. I have an M1 incoming at some point, this looks like it could be an awesome fit for it.

    Red Harbringer Dopamine Case

Not quite up my alley, but still pretty awesome looking. Wish I could find these kinds of projects, but whenever I try searching, I always wind up with a million kickstarters for people who just want you to fund their next computer.

ASUS GTX 780 Ti Matrix Platinum Review Comment Thread

Agreed, but I've had grief in multiple cases with heavily unbalanced positive pressure designs. In theory, all the air coming in should push the hot air out. In practice, you don't get to choose which air leaves the case, and it's not necessarily going to be the hot air that does. So in those...

ASUS GTX 780 Ti Matrix Platinum Review Comment Thread

I know the testing was done on an open bench, but can you vouch for whether any air was actually being blown back out the exhaust with this heatsink? That's often been the weak point of the older Direct-CU heatsinks (especially the triple slot ones), since their awesome cooling is offset by the...

Smallest MiniITX That can fit mid range GPU?

Yeah, the Raven RVZ01 was the first "thin" case that came to mind to me. Although Silverstone's ML07 is based on the same skeleton, except with less "raveny" styling, so that might be worth a look as well.

New Corsair Cases on the way - Air 240, Graphite 380T and 780T

As nice as it is to see another lanbox offering, are those dimensions correct? Cos that's a bloody huge mITX case.

    Diagnosing Display Driver Failure

Just a quick update - since installing the 334.89's, haven't had it occur again. Although I haven't had much chance to game in the last week either. Might have gotten lucky this time.

    Diagnosing Display Driver Failure

Well, the PSU is an AX850, only a year and a half old, and it never broke a sweat even when driving a Titan earlier, nor were there any signs of instability. It's possible that the card itself is at fault, but it was rock solid in the past. Device manager and dxdiag have come up clean. At this...

    Diagnosing Display Driver Failure

Perhaps somebody can throw a few ideas out on this little problem. The rig is a 2500K/GTX580 setup. Traditional stress-tests (prime/IBT/Benchmarks/etc) are have always been rock solid. Lately, I've been getting occasional display driver failures while gaming. The kind that show up the event...

    Sim City goes OFFLINE!!!!!!!

Pretty much. They seriously had a license to print money with this one. Just make it look better, let people make even bigger cities, and failure would have been pretty much impossible. Plus, some nice PR for bringing back a classic title, which god knows they need these days. I was looking...

    Mobile Phone Interac

Personally, given how lax most people are with their phones - even those who are otherwise top notch with their electronics security - the idea of phones being able to tap and pay scares me on some level. I had always been under the impression that debit cards didn't have anywhere near the same...

    USB DAC + Amp?

The OP is a little old now, but if budget allows, I can highly recommend the O2/ODAC unit to anyone looking for a headphone amp/dac. It basically started as a kind of counterpoint to some of the absurd audiophile snake oil floating around, and is VERY highly regarded. Lots of power, even for...

Corsair Announces Graphite 760T and 730T Full-Tower PC Cases

Love the window design. Too many case windows these days look like nothing more than an hour's work with a jigsaw and a rivet gun, but this one actually has a nicely integratedlatch and bevelled edges.

Corsair Enters Mini ITX Market with the Obsidian Series 250D

Yeah it's the double rad that's killing the compact factor here. It's bigger than my sg10, which will do mATX boards with a 180mm fan (but a single rad AIO at best). Still, looks sharp. Nice to see Corsair giving attention to smaller sized cases.

    Want to Sell EVGA Titan

All the games I'm looking at for the next half-year or so are looking pretty indy and retro, so I suppose I'll just have to limp along with my tired old 580GTX. Hopefully by that point, some new fun hardware will be out.
