Sim City goes OFFLINE!!!!!!!

EA's and Maxis's lies about online/offline play were repeatedly blown out of the water. It probably took them 6 months to realize all hope was lost for their original vision of the game, rather than 6 months to shut down the servers.

For all ppl who bought game they should get a refund or a free game from a diff company lol. To show ppl there sorry they dropped ball so badly they will buy you a game from a company that didn't S*¥€% the pooch this badly.

Think about what a bath EA took on this blunder of a game. Had they just done Sim City right, the first time, it would have sold like crazy!

Yeah I was waiting on this for a long time I thought I'd wait see what reviews were like. Huge pile of dung like surface tablets with Windows Rt and there 988 million dollars worth of unsold poo.

EA can't do anything right anymore, think Mass Effect 2 was the last decent game to come out of their studios. Battlefield 4 is just another culmination of their utter tripeness.

Also, I want to argue that the Surface Pro was actually a pretty impressive Tablet from where I stand.

After reading quite a bit on this topic I still feel that 6 months was longer than it should have taken but also some of the inefficiencies in how the game operates in general is pretty sad, for example the overhead created by the agent system seems largely unnecessary for a lot of the function it performs.

For price and what Ms lost on it I'd say they are hurting if only they didn't create that Windows Rt. But on topic I can't wait to dig into mass effect 1-2 when rig built.

Pretty much. They seriously had a license to print money with this one. Just make it look better, let people make even bigger cities, and failure would have been pretty much impossible. Plus, some nice PR for bringing back a classic title, which god knows they need these days.

I was looking at Anno 2070 myself. Almost grabbed it during the Steam winter sale, but the long list of DLC kind of turned me off, regardless of the price.

And that is so true. I remember when they first announced it and was really happy to see it. And then they said it was online only and I just knew it was going to fail and fail bad. It could have been so much but EA and their typical greed and not listening to fans ruined it.
