I currently own a 3070TI and i love it as it runs great with the rest of my computer. With that being said after some snooping at higher tier card prices I'm considering upgrading and selling my current card.

So far I've found a 3080TI FTW3 for about $370 total which i think i could get down. I've found a 3090 FTW3 for about $530 which i also think i could get down. the 24gb on the 3090 is very appealing

After seeing those prices and knowing it would be a minimal upgrade cost after selling my GPU, i was all in but then i thought about the 4000 series cards and the possibility of maybe even waiting until the 5000 series cards come out and hope that the 4000 series comes down. The only issue is like the last few generation releases i dont think prices will go down especially with what the 5000 series is rumored to be.

If it helps, I'm finding a 4070TI 16gb (PNY though) for about $500 which i think i can get lower, and a 4070TI 12gb for about $350.
I'm also finding 4070 supers for low $400's but i believe the 4070TI is a better card

There's also a 4080 super running at about $600 and a 4070TI super for about $545 (appears to be a legit seller)

There are so many options (baring they are real listings) with different positives and negatives to each card. Any help deciding which one I should go for would be greatly appreciated

-So far the 3090 card is the only listing i have gotten a response on and confirmed to be LEGIT. I have received replies on a few other cards but still yet to confirm if they're legit

When you say 4070Ti 16GB, you meant the 4070Ti Super right? If Tech Power Up numbers are correct, it runs faster then a 3090 and 3090 TI. Not an expert in the GPU area but doesn't higher VRM give you more legs down the road and especially in raytracing and AI applications? I say try to get the 4070Ti Super 16GB closer to $400 since it got more cores and memory.

Or you can hold out and may be switch over to Radeon as their 9000 series could match the current 7900XT for lower price. Raytracing on Radeon seem to be a negative compare to Nvidia but I personally don't care. In coming US tariff could be an issue since Canada import stuff via US so there's no way around it here unless suppliers directly import themselves. I personally wonder if we start seeing lower prices in Asia or Europe.

Im just an idiot, i made a mistake on the PNY card it is just a standard 12GB.

I think I'll go with your advice though and roll the dice with the TI Super.

Im a sucker for AMD, especially their CPUs but i unfortunately can't find their cards for as good of a price as the ones listed above. And while i don't utilize the "pros" of NVIDIA cards i want to start getting into the AAA games that will utilize it so it is something I'm looking for. I also like to game and stream (nothing heavy) at the same time (as well as some video editing) which NVIDIA is known to be better at.

Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the 4080 super i had mentioned, with all things considered

Regarding the 4080 Super, I'm looking at eBay completed transaction and they went as low as $660 CAD with free shipping from China but those guys got 0% rating. It seems like $1k CAD is the normal spot. 4070 Ti Super went as low as $650 from sellers with 99% to 100% rating. So unless you can confirm the 4080 Super is working and have a massage chain from the buying saying it's guarantee working (so you can sue if it doesn't), I would consider the working 4070Ti Super.

I personally don't buy used GPU on FBM, CL, and eBay due to amount of scams. I only brought used GPU from members here and from a friend.

Wait a month or two if you can. New cards are expected to be announced at CES (Jan 7-10) by Nvidia and AMD, you'll likely see some light sales on the remaining stock of older cards in the coming months as well as lots of used cards as people buy the new ones and sell their old ones. We're also not in the midst of a chip shortage or a mass 'work from home' movement so the prices on used cards won't retain the same bonkers pricing they did a few years ago. Even AI demand/hype seems to be slowing.

You're right that new pricing for the 5000 series (and whatever AMD numbers theirs) will likely be high though.

If your GPU died it would be one thing, but there's probably no reason to rush right now. You'll likely even see a few members here listing on the BST

Late reply but If this is still available I'd be all over that.

Any particular reason you don't consider AMD?

Unfortunately, they all ended up being scams. Expected, but I was hoping to get lucky.

There is no particular reason I just tend to sway to NVIDIA, although I'm a sucker for their CPUs. I've heard conflicting info on which side is better and for what reasons but I've never done a deep dive.

im finding since nvidia did the apple obsolescence to 3000 by cutting it from using features its starting to feel like the gpu isnt powerful enough to utilize all 24gb of vram unless you do some Ai Workloads or rendering. in gaming most iv used was 13gb and that was pushing it to point gpu core couldnt handle the graphical fidelity onscreen.
