Both are US Keyboards, and both keyboards have lots of travel so both keyboards are great for typing
Lenovo is slightly heavier
Lenovo is bigger footprint for sure, the Alienware M16 R2 was redesigned last year and the back exhaust are was cut off to make it the same size as a tradition laptop so the its more portable (fits in a regular laptop sleeve)

I'm just really surpised how Alienware was able to fit a full gaming laptop in such a thin laptop without the back hump that other gaming laptops have such as G15/G16, Asus Strix, and of course the Legion
Does either laptop thermal throttle? How are GPU/cpu temps in both under full load?

Legion is cooler at around 65-75 C max load with max performance turned on

The alienware is hotter for sure, reaching 96 degrees C on some of the benchmarks

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I actually managed to grab a smoking hot deal for a MSI Katana at only $800 with a RTX 4060 so I'll probably be returning both of these laptops. I didn't get the MSI deal then I'd probably keep the Alienware just cause of the overall feel and quality.

Edit: If anyone does want the Alienware M16 r2 at my cost (Employee discount) for $1377, just let me know and it's yours
