ASUS Rampage Extreme or ASUS Maximus II Formula

Im looking for a nice mobo to overclock my Q9550 which will be on water. I have these two motherboards chosed, but do not know which one. They are the same price, but NCIX will price match the Rampage Extreme to $205, and the Maximus to $250. Now the Maximus II is DDR2, and more pricy - wth? The Rampage, is cheaper (when on sale) and is DDR3, but is this DDR3 even worth it with a 775? Please HWC help me out lol. Also, than there is the RAM price difference. In the end, which is worth it?
