Kids, a blessing from heaven, or OG grifters?

I found this gpu, a short drive away, and suggested 'we' also upgrade psu, cpu, and memory as well. He got colicky that I bought him 'old junk' in the first place. (In my defense; he was turning 12, covid was rocking it, and I only had $1200 in the birthday budget. He's now 17. )

Last heard from him March 11, 2025. Not sure exactly why. Not looking like there will be any trigger pulling.

This is an insane deal. If it's still available you should buy it. Hell, I'll buy it from you.

Just off the beaten path, things often languish there unsold. I scored a mint Thorens tt for $100, just a couple of years ago. It's a Casino town, and generally (imo) regarded as being rude & unfriendly. Guy didn't want to ship, and would talk by phone--so seemed legit. I was dealing with an under-the-weather avatar, and moved too slow. Somebody did well.

Nope, I haven't heard back. I think the flaky connection would clear up with a new 5090--not likely to happen.

I just put a 3070 in my son's computer. He's getting 120 fps at 120hz 1080p in warzone 2 DMZ. DMZ is large map format. In multiplayer its about 20-30 fps higher.

Computer is ryzen 3800 with 3600 ram.
