best card in 250-300 range

Although I haven't used an nVidia card in years, I can say I'm very happy with my Radeon cards over the years.
Driver issues are inherent on both sides and I've never had any major problems with the games I play.

I can say my shader unlocked and highly overclocked 6950 can run any game I've thrown at it at the highest settings at 1920x1200 without a hitch.

i've gotten today a Zotac GTX 560 Amps Edition and tested it compared to a stock GTX 560 from eVGA and got me 1100mark extra on 3dmark06

Zotac Clocks : 950 Core / 4400 Mem
eVGA Clocks : 810 Core / 4008 Mem

eVGA 219.99$
Zotac 209.99$ with MIR 20$ so 189.99$ till december 31

What i experienced is:

Quality=nVIDIA
Performance=ATI

Apart from this, all other things we cant compare cuz they variate when each of them release their new fighting beast!

what about Sapphire 6970 flex BF3 Edition? I am thinking to buy it for myself also. It is a little more expensive but i believe it is worth the money.

What, maybe ATI has there whole price/performance, but they're definitely not in the category performance=ATI. Nvidia's gpus most of the time beat ati. a GTX 570 is on par if not better than a hd 6970 for about the same price.

Quality/Performance=Nvidia
Price/Performance=ATI

my eVGA GTX 560 1GB is beating my Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 2GB.... that's why i bought a Zotac Amp GTX 560 to replace the 5970 2GB :P

I'm in no hurry to upgrade yet and can wait till the 7 series come out and see. I'm sure going from a 5 series to 7 series should be good.

tks all.

you could wait the 7 series to be out and buy a 6 series card when it would be cheap
