any fan plug will work as all you are using is the pwm control from it. so cpu fan plug is a great choice. and yes the molex just connects to your psu molex out.

Does your motherboard have a non AIO pump header? My board has a 2A WC_PUMP header in addition to the AIO_PUMP header.

The only headers I have on this Mini ITX board is the AIO Pump, CPU Fan Header, Chassis Fan Header...please see post #3 image. Unless I am missing it, there are no other Headers on this board....

which board do you have?
