For the fans of the first dead island,i do really recommend this game,it's as good if not better,feels more like a DLC but it's more story based (good thing) and there is way more voice acting!

And graphics look awesome,really really good,a bit like farcry 3...

The game seems long,i'm 25% of the game and i played 6:30 hours,all side quests and a tiny bit of exploration...
 
It's got ALOT of the same glitches the first one had and more, the netcode is poor: characters are jerky in coop and will hang up sometimes. There's things like tracked quests being untracked when you transition to different areas, nothing major, it's just so obvious they didn't learn anything from the original or chose not to playtest the PC version very much.

That said, I loved the first and am loving Riptide.

that's true,same bugs,but the game is still awesome,i think the optimization work in riptide is amazing,looks quite as good as tomb raider i think and it runs very smooth if you use the nvidia beta drivers for it,at least...
 
Yes the betas that came out on the 23rd do look good, and there has been some UI changes to the game that do help somewhat. Looks like Greenman has another 30% off sale this weekend on it too.

Got to say,the 2nd part in the city is AMAZING,it's like the first part in the jungle is 14/20 and the city 18/20,even if the jungle is great too.Also new story elements,i won't spoil but it's much better :D
