Destiny 2 is free right now on battle.net to own forever , limited time only.

Taken from the Internet:

Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. It is an open-world first-person shooter with persistent-world elements.

While it may require Internet access to play, it's definitely not forced multiplayer. You can play the entire game solo if you choose, the only thing you're really locked out of is the Raid. Though even that, they added "Guided Games" which should let you find a team within game to play alongside, but it's generally better to go onto the forums or find a clan.

This is one I still dabble in from time to time, I like it. And free is definitely worth it! ;)

I still find getting around in game and figuring out where I am supposed to be going for missions and such a bit more confusing than other games. But I have only dabbled, so every time I go back in it is like a new game all over again!

Well, played this some more. Not sure why I found getting around confusing the first time lol. Anyway, really enjoying it now.

I like the campaign so far, I like the gear, the battles are not overly challenging which is fine as it makes you feel powerful as a character. Sure it isn't exactly a brain-teaser but that's fine for when you are just feeling like running and gunning in some impressive levels/worlds. And it runs extremely well for me on my system.

I think it is certainly worth some time, especially given the cost of entry is nothing right now.

Depending when you originally tried it, they did overhaul the Director stuff entirely. Vast majority of the game has been re-worked since initial release I'd say and probably partially why they are doing this free promo to attract players in and show that it's changed.

Ah well! There you go. That makes me feel better  I was thinking this time "Man... what was I, sleep deprived or something the last time I tried this?? I'm not having any trouble finding stuff this time..." Maybe the overhaul is the answer. Let's go with that!

There certainly are a tonne of time-syncs: collections, dailies, etc. Not a bad thing, lots of things to do. And I like the infusion idea, the ability to keep a piece of gear that you like upgrading with you as you go. Granted, not easy to do until you start getting more Legendary and Exotic gear but still a nice option rather than the normal gear/costume type approach of other games. Makes more sense in the context of the game world I think than wearing two sets of gear; one for stats and one for looks.

Base level cap, without expansions is level 20 I believe. I am already level 12, having done only the campaign quests (Triumphs?), a couple extra quests, and a public events here and there.

Do you normally complete the campaign by the time you reach level 20, or is it longer than that?

I know that depends on how much extra content you do on the way, just trying to gauge how big/long the campaign is.

You have to complete the campaign to open up everything else, with each character.

I dont remember what level I was when I finish a character. I want to say 18ish.
