Hi guys. The title pretty much says it all. What is the difference between these? Which is better? What do I need to know? Thanks!

VGA has/uses an analog signal, whereas DVI and HDMI are digital. The "major" difference between DVI and HDMI, is that HDMI is a licensed trademark, and in order for a device (or cable) to be hdmi compliment (or use the name), they must pay a royalty. DVI is royalty free.

Everything others have said so far. DVI/HDMI and your good to go. VGA is a fading away (as are all analog signals).

I disagree. Analog for audio is still MUCH better and far superior to digital. Why do you think record players are coming back? Analog sound baby.

Move to proper forums!

For those that say HDMI and DVI give better picture quality. I haven't noticed a difference...

there is a huge difference in color vibrance and clarity when using dvi/hdmi as compared to vga. even my old 5yr old lcd monitor has a huge color difference when using vga compared to the same monitor using dvi
