Hi fellows,

I just bought the Edifier S360DB speakers. I am using Windows 11. I tried to hookup the optical cable to my PC and the speakers and I do not get any sound from the speakers. Both the subwoofer and side speakers are plugged-in and turned on. I set the side speaker to OPT, meaning optical cable.

No luck.

I followed the manual, but I cannot get it to work!

Can you fellows help me to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance,

CG

Agree with others. Pretty much a guarantee that the MOB is not outputting over optical (not going to auto detect). So it is likely either a setting/selection.

Hi fellows,

Thank you for the feedback. I am new to Windows 11.

How do I change the Windows audio output to make the Edifiers with Optical cable work?

CG

well I think its the same in win11 in the bottom right-hand corner with the cable plugged into both pc and speaker, it should list what output audio options are available once you left-click on it the speaker then there's a little arrow pointing up to open up all listed outputs

mouse hover.webp

Hover your mouse over the speaker icon on your taskbar, right click and select "open volume mixer"

Sound settings.webp

From within the sound settings use the output device dropdown menu to select digital audio (it can be called slightly different things depending on your audio chip)
