Gaming Headphones Showdown. What To Buy?

xentr_thread_starter
will sell my tiamats cheap hardly used, have the sen pc360, pc350, hd555, audio technica ad700, ath m50's, logetech g35 a couple sets and the asus vulcans. For gaming and ts3 use the pc360, anything surround I find is shit either on the mic or the sound details ie location. Sound end have the asus pheobus 7.1 sound card, creative thx external, and now for tunes use the fiio oe7/eo9 desktop amp for the m50's lately. Now some of the guys in my clan prefer the g930's they swear by them, me haven't tried them myself. Siberia have had a few and also there more expensive headsets. Razor again have had lots over the years either smashed them (they did have 5 little speakers in each headphones) or they set in the corner idea. Sennheiser I seem too always go back too.

PM me with a price for those Tiamat's. :D

Small update. I bought the Siberia V2's to test out and I must say I am not too impressed so far. I picked up the 3.5mm jack verrsion not realizing it was so until I picked it up (bought off kijiji). I plugged it in to my onboard sound and the sound on the headset is super quiet. I tried BF3 last night and it was also extremely quiet on full volume.

Is this a driver issue or is this because I am not using a dedicated sound card?

I use mine with onboard sound without issue. They will play louder than I like without distortion. Are you sure your volumes are all turned up in settings and in game/music programs. I leave the volume settings in windows loud and then use the volume on the headset to limit it. Try them in a phone/mp3 player if that doesn't work to ensure the headset is not busted.

Most sound cards especially onboard don't have amps built in and find their sound not too loud. There trying to protect your ears.

So I returned the Carcarihshah (however you spell it) and got the Corsair 1300s.. MUCH happier. They fit better and the 1300s rotate which allows them to curve to my head better. The ear piece is better and blocks out sound far better.

I really like the looks of the 1300s. Are they comfy? What is the sound quality like?

Are u using them with a sound card... If so what?
