Looking for recommendations for a 34" OLED gaming monitor 3440x1440

It's really just a question of WOLED (LG panel) or QD-OLED (Samsung panel), isn't a whole lot of variation out there. I believe the LG panels are usually 800R (more curved), whereas the Samsung's are 1800R (barely curved).

I would just grab whatever you can find for cheapest from one of the "major" brands - ASUS, MSI, Alienware, Samsung, LG.

Alienware AW3423DWF

Great monitor, I don't regret the purchase at all. Goes on sale for around $800 frequently, so wait for a good price.
ONE OF US! What Caldezar said. It's a great monitor.

Edit: So the DWF is still on Dell's site, but there's a new AW3425DW model. The DWF is Freesync only, the DW model is Nvidia Gsync included.

If you use Rakuten Dell monitors are currently 15% cash back......

Get this one. 45 inch curve from LG and later will get a motorized curve unit. Do it. Do it for the community. Be a tester for us.

I have the 34" DW Caldezar and SugarJ mentioned. I had to RMA 2 of them due to power issues, but the third has been working fine.

Dell support is as.... tiresome, as it's always been, but they did resolve it in the end.

It's a good monitor and if you strike the right combination of sale price, rakuten and any other potential promo (AMEX rebate for example), it's definitely the cheapest of the good G-sync ultrawides.

I'd either get the LG 34" or the Dell, whichever you get the better price on.

I'll be "that guy" and throw this in just for consideration. I had a 34" ultrawide and I changed it out for a 43" 4K 16:9 monitor.

I found the latter much more immersive for all my games but especially flight and space sim games. Same physical width for horizontal viewing feel but much more vertical height for both physical and resolution in game. For me, I prefer that 43" 16:9 ratio.

Also has the added benefit if you play any older games, pre-ultrawide resolutions, of working just fine with those, no black bars.

I think their would be 43" or similar size OLEDs out there that would meet your needs, but may be more expensive perhaps.

I've got one of the earlier versions of the AW3425DW monitors and it's been great. Just flashed the newest firmware the other weekend. Least they figured out how to let home users do it.
