hello HWC,

I currently have steelseries 6gv2. I am looking for something preferable with blue switches. I was thinking about Logitech G710+ but it has brown switches. I am open at looking at any brand.

Thanks for your suggestions

Cheers!

Do you want a fullsize keyboard, TKL, 60% or 40%?

Filco majetouch and ducky shine both come in fullsized and TKL, KBT pure pro and the vortex poker II for 60%, and for 40% basically your only option is the poker X. All of these boards come with multiple color schemes, backlight or no, and whatever switch you'd want.

there is 40%/60% is the exact same thing(5 rows of keys) - koreans/other asians just call it 40% based on weight. REAL 40% keyboards (4 rows) are all custom-made/limited production GBs.

ducky is the premier brand when going for backlit minimalist keyboards.

keyboards are keyboards. they all work the same. they differentiate based on physical size, design, and extra features.

the only features that can make a keyboard WORK BETTER for gaming is macro keys (if your games use them), and backlights (for gaming in the dark). Ducky has backlights (ducky shine 2/3) but no macros on any keyboard. people generally like cherry mx reds for FPS and mx browns for RTS (blues are slightly less popular for RTS)

I can't give you a better answer than that because gaming keyboards don't exist; they're just a marketing term.

Why would you say that blue's are less popular?

I know this might sounds bad but i enjoy the clicky sound of the blues

I didn't say they were WORSE; just that they're less popular. I'm not even saying they're not the most common switch for gaming; just that they're less popular. popular = more chance that someone will recommend that switch when you're asking

I only know of Duckys being stocked at NCIX.
