New Rig Issues Advise Needed

Sorry, dont have the any of the part or boxes i purchased. Everything is left with the store to assemble. I am afraid i cannot tell u the Revision of the Chip at this point of time.
Would i be doing the same you advised on both Revision C2 and C3?

Short answer is Yes.

BIOS issues would be the first thing I would be checking on these boards.

Do you also mind linking a picture here for me so i can find the revision type please? I've been looking into picture of the AMD site and goggle but couldnt find any of those info. Thank you:thumb:
 
I don't have a picture available at my work right now. Best I can do is take a Picture of my BOX to show you where it has the Chip Revision on it when I get home tonight.

*You got a new rig too? Maybe you got more then one when i was looking at your system specs there isnt AMD.

yes but with Qualified Vendor List you have more chance to avoid this :

I wish luck to the OP, I lived in Asia few years, an computer shop are even worst than here. They usally hire trainees to build systems, so they have to pay them less, when they pay them :sad:
 
I have never, ever, ever run into a board that wouldn't take the RAM I put in it.
Ever.

I understand your stand point Mark, but its not just the RAM, even if he had from the Vendor List some Boards just Don't like all slots populated on first setup.

Guys, i also visited Asus support offical site to seek advise. One of the members there using rig consisting of the Crosshair III Formula (BIOS 1105) & Phenom ll X4 965BE.
This is what he said...

There shouldn't be, not using Win7 x64. The problem is likely down to the RAM timings/voltage not being set correctly with the BIOS on [AUTO].

With AI Overclock on [Manual], set the DRAM Frequency to 1600Mhz, and the DRAM Voltage to 1.65V. Then go into DRAM Timing/Driving Config, set DRAM Command Rate to 2T and TCL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS to 9-9-9-24. These are the recommended settings from Corsair's web site. Now hit F10 to save settings and reboot. The system should now boot successfully.

Also, does it really mean i would face no problem or have to config the RAM settings if i follow the list(linked below) of "Guaranteed-Compatible Memory for your Asus Crosshair III Formula"
