Opinions on the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel

Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel now that it has been out for a little while. I am looking at buying something for Dirt 2 and Grid and wasn't sure if this would suit the bill. Any feedback would be appreciated.
 
Tried it at my friends house. My only dislike is that I personally feel the wheel is too small, but YMMV. Amazon has a great deal on it, check it out. I think it's $165 after rebate.
 
G27 is a good wheel as was the G25. The logitech add some issue over time with the shifter and other little thing so the G27 is here to fix them. Normally G25 was return for RMA like 3 out of 5 the first year. We have sold mant G27 from last Xmas and none is back for now so it seems to be a solid unit. Go for it!
 
I've been using a modded G25 since it was launched for iracing,rfactor and other sims. For the money it can't be beat. The G27 is just a updated version,wheel is a bit bigger and the shifter is alitter different and it has lights. I've never had a problem,I've got a few friends using it as well and none of them have had problems.
 
I prefer the G25 over the G27 because of the sequential shifting. Both are quite solid designs though.

JMCD, I'm with you, you don't have to use a wheel but it is a helluva lot more fun when you do.

Thank you to everyone that responded with their feedback and their pic of the wheel mod (very nice btw). The sh1tty part is during me posting this thread my video card decided to finally pack it in. Just when I thought I would own a wheel I now have other shopping to do. GTX470 here I come!
