Hey all, i bought an ASUS Z87-PLUS C2 motheboard and an I5 4670k. I would like to overclock it but i'm not trying to get the most out of it, i want a reasonable overclock. I have big tower cooler ,so cooling should be good.

Also i don't know if it's important but i have 1333mhz ram.

So, i never overlocked a CPU and i don't really know what to do... I don't want to change a ton of settings to squeeze the last mhz out of it, could you guys explain to me the simplest way to overclock it? Is voltage regulation automatic? I know how the multiplier works but i'm a bit confused about the other stuff... Tried to check out guides but it was pretty confusing. Can i just set my multiplier to 43-44 and it's done? Thanks for the help!

PS: i know the software to use to make sure it's stable too.

PPS: my PSU is 550w now.

Honestly, keep reading until you understand it. Don't just blindly start changing settings in your BIOS.

Here is a great guide (it's more geared towards Gigabyte motherboards, but the overall effect is still the same):

The Gigabyte Z87/Haswell Overclocking(OC) Guide
