Psyko Krypton vs Psyko 5.1

Since you asked, the Krypton has a bunch of minor improvements over 5.1. The mic was improved over time, and there are fit and finish stuff. The bigger changes were with Carbon (better speakers, more bass, braided cable, gold plated plugs).

Just checked Psyko site, and found that the Krypton's also come with a 15 day money back guarantee. Can't really go wrong with that deal. For $100? That's cheap for a set of Psyko's. Anyone interested in getting a set of 5.1 analog surround headphones, would be crazy not to check these out.

For the members here that may not know, the "Head Psyko" posted above,is the OWNER of Psyko Audio. It's not often,[if ever] the owner of a PC hardware company will show such interest in the members of our forum. Or ANY forum for that matter. If anyone has questions regarding Psyko, who better to talik to than the owner of the company. I think it's great that he would take the time to register here, and respond to our concerns. Welcome to Hardware Canucks Head Psyko! [His name is James]

What sound card do you guys recommend with these headphones?

I have a Xonar D2X but the driver support is abysmal and my Center/Sub and Rear Left/Rear Right signals are swapped for some strange reason so I'm looking to pick up a better gaming sound card that works well in Windows 7. It also should have some kind of Stereo Mix/What U Hear setting (which I believe is pretty standard nowadays)

I have the Xonar Xense and I have also used the X-FI Forte. They both have 5.1 analog connection and sound excellent. Your D2X may be cooked. I have had NO issues with Xonar drivers. The newer Creative HD for example, does NOT have 5.1 analog outputs,so be sure you check the specs if you plan on a new sound card. Hope this helps my friend.
