Hi all, looking for a price check on a 8gb pi 4b. Hard to gauge prices when they retail 2x what I paid for it nowadays. Comes with 3D printed case, heatsinks, fan, power supply, 64gb sd card & a zigbee USB stick for HA.

I constantly see Pi5 4GB new for like $120 without the extras. Lacks memory but significantly better CPU.
Edit: And ignoring sale price regular price of power brick, case and heatsink with fan is as cheap as $25 when not on sale
So maybe ballpark of $140 + whatever SD/zigbee card is worth?

I dont have the patience and smarts to do most thing these Pi's cant do just the Nas and the Libre elec but simple things with eh raspi
when the pi4 4gb came out I bought two with the fans and cases it was I think around 110 each cad one to make a simple nas the other a media player for kodi and well the kodi build didnt work that breat it would lag a little .
I want is to get on that will be able to web browse and also watch youtube vids without lag the pi could do that and well apparently the newest pi also cant do it smoothly.

Sadly not much of a market for them, i cant even dump a 4b 4gb for under 50$ in my area.
I potentially could use just the board as another RND unit for a project I work on as I need a ARM env to compile on outside of the target machine.
you would be lucky to get like 60-80 for the board and most accessories would just be incentives to hit the price point. The chip idles at 40c, 60c under load no heatsink, USB's are annoying to find for quality ones for the OS however most probably run dinky projects and could use some 5$ usb key and is probably better kept unless someone shows interest in a combo.
Cases are meh as well, most can 3d print one for a few $ nor does it really need one. Fan/PSU hold a little value as well but you can use almost anything to power these things.
Maybe in time the prices will bounce up. The cost of these only went up due to ram prices and its where it starts getting costly for even these things new.
Generational 3/4/5 for the pi hold very little differences as well. I semi fucked up my 4 which has a short on the GPIO and upon researching a replacement there was no real reason to get a 5. Basically the same thing + an internal RTC chip and slightly better chip.

honestly with the ai agents now adays the most basic stuff you normally would do with one of these can be a cakewalk. I'm putting a custom image on my android tv box, of which I JUST REALZED. It is also an ARM chip... Might just use that instead, probably better specs as well and can just have it as a NAS to distribute my installs.
