This may contain other reviews as I come across them. Videocardz found a RTX 5050 review by Quasar Zone. TL;DR, it's a tad slower than a B580 and can't beat a RTX 4060 8GB in their pool of games without using dlss and frame gen. Original Korean link included, Firefox can do Korean to English translation.

Oh my...pricing destroys everything. With a budget price this could be "fine", but no...no it is not as released.

Summary:

Ref nvidia - The 5050 is slower than a 4060, but uses more power (despite being newer). Techpowerup has it beating a 3060, while techspot (HUB) has it slower based on the games used. Nvidia spin...but its new, and says nvidia on the box, and makes 4x extra random frames that make bar graphs look better, so give us money. The 5060 is a poorly priced product, but the 5050 makes it look better (maybe the only reason for the 5050 to exist).

Ref AMD - roughly comparable in raster to an old RX7600 that has been in this price range for a long time. The RX9600XT 8GB wipes the floor with this for "only" $50 more.

Hopefully AMD releases a RX 9050 or 9060 (non-XT) to fix this broken product segment.

A new gen card being beaten by a 3060? That's just pathetic, dont care what price it is.

The Old rule I used for Nvidia cards was what I called "move 1": a GTX 1080 was roughly as fast as a 2070, which was roughly as fast as a 3060.. which Should've been as fast as a 4050...

Ya, no. Apparently Nvidia wants money more than they want to innovate (coughintelcough). Glad I stopped buying Nvidia too.

Looks like, whenever I get around to saving enough for a new GPU (aka, a while away), it'll be an AMD one to match my AMD CPU*. (*does S.A.M. still work well, or better, than it used to? Probably even better with an X3D CPU, but I dont have one of those myself, yet, either... bleh)
