Just saw this.. the Sapphire Vapor X HD 5750 for 184$

is it worth it over the GTX 260...?

cause im getting a Maximus Extreme and its Crossfire and not SLi.. so if i can i'll grab 2 and crossfire if they are worth it for the price

If you need to go crossfire, definately go with the 5770's. The extra 40 bucks will be worth the performance increase. A 260 wouldn't hold a candle to either the 5750 or 5770 crossfire.

Lots of reviews on the net... they all seem one sided on this one.

For gaming performance, the 260 edges out the 5770. Read some 5770 reviews. Com'on they are right here at HWC :biggrin:
Folding of course goes to nVidia.

saw that last night.. i'd rather get the XFX Radeon HD 5770 XXX edition.. i like the stock cooler and the speeds are nice..

i'd rather pay 219.99

but yeah

the review puts it more like 3/4 for the GTX and 1/4 for the 5770 so i'll keep the GTX 260 for a while i guess until prices drops down

Why not just get the Vapor-X HD 5770 and overclock is way past the stock XFX XXX edition specs? :thumb:

I've gone this route and am hoping to achieve the speeds many 5770 reviews have claimed which will make it that much better of a value over the "overclocked" XFX XXX Edition.
