Per HUB / Techspot reporting, SK Hynix that due to AI demand, their manufacturing capacity for DRAM, NAND, and HBM is sold out for the entire 2026. In addition, they reported 39% YoY increase in revenue and $8B USD operating profit for the 3 months ending in Sept. We already have a discussion about HUB's other video on the increasing DDR 4 and DDR 5 prices.
I hope nobody is in need of DDR5 anytime soon. I just listened to a HUB video and they mentioned that DDR5 price has gone up very fast in the last few weeks (a kit they used in a build literally doubled), so I checked pcpartpicker...sure enough everything that was a reasonable price is sold out. Supposedly it is all currently going to the server market to feed AI. PC users draw the short straw again.
