Star Citizen

Mustang should be in your hangar, but in Arena Commander (the DogFighting module) you should be able to fly the 300i currently.

The impression I'm getting as to the game progressing, this past year has been a lot of design iteration, a lot of getting things like the ship pipeline setup and just organizing themselves with the new scale of the project. Next year things look like they are going to come rather thick and fast. We start off with the FPS, then we move into Arena Commander 2.0 (multi crew ships), iterations on both as we go. Then we get the first chapter of Sq42 and then we get the first taste of the Persistent Universe Alpha.

Its all coming together now.

OK I managed to get the game launched again after doing 3 complete new download and install. I think I have to turn off p2p to get it launched. Anyway, my hanger is empty. I am supposed to have a Mustang ship, but it is not there. Do I have to go thru training in order to get the ship in my hanger?

OK. I did not know I have to place my ship in the hanger. Done it now. I still say it is a complicated game.

Yeah its not really a game for the faint of heart at the moment, and I'm not a fan of the hangar defaulting to empty, but to a degree I like that complexity and its one of the things that keeps me watching. The basics will get streamlined in time and just playing it will become easier but more advanced features are going to be increadible because they are complex.

They've started talking about how radar and the signiture system will work with AC 1.0, its really incredible. Theres also the damage states which actually effect how your ship flies, with the PU it will be really impressive to see people limping back to the nearest repair base with wings and engines missing. Then you simply have the physics and the fact that there is no cheating when it comes to ships manuvering, each thruster actually exerts its force on the ship. I could continue gushing, theres the PU's economy, the localized physics grids, double precision maps, animation based FPS with location damage, LAG..... I said I was going to stop didn't I....

Only a few days left on the Anniversary sale. I picked up a super hornet with 2 years insurance . There's the Carrack and Javelin concept sales in the next couple of days too. The Javelin is reported to cost 2500$ and have a crew of 25... insane numbers!

I picked up the Cutlass Blue with 2 Yr Insurance. Now to save up for a Constellation Andromeda. After that I think I'm done for ships :).

The Carrack just went on sale! 350$ with LTI. Also, there's 100 Javelins left. 2 batches of 50.. the batch at noon ( PST) sold in 11 secs...

I'm sometimes shocked how expensive these ships are and how much money people have sunk into a game that still isn't coming out for another year. If this game doesn't deliver there are going to be a lot of very angry people. I might even go so far as to say if it doesn't deliver, it would damage the crowdfunding image a lot. I still have high hopes though.
