Teksavvy cable Internet!

In Quebec, Teksavvy Cable is 54.95$ for 7.5Mbps/820Kbit with a 90GB cap.

They use Videotron in Quebec, Rogers in Ontario and they manage to negotiate a great deal with Rogers but not Videotron.

The west coast is always left out of these things. We can't even get Rogers Cable internet over here... Though we do have Shaw cable, and it's stunning. Our house is out of the way, but still on a major highway. I regularly go waaay over the bandwith cap and am always maxing out our rated speeds. I think because of where we're located, there are very few people accessing the line and since it's under utilized, Shaw doesn't monitor it or care very much. :D

yup, we get screwed for internet prices here. pops pays 10 bucks more than i do and gets twice the speed.lol.

i hear if you were to use an extra old modem theres no cap speed wise? soemthing about them white modems from years ago...so dude was saying...

You mean those Motorola Surfboard modems that can be uncapped? It's illegal to uncap. It basically allowed you to load any profile you wanted (ie. 10Mbit/1Mbit).

hmm...not sure. some dude said that if you were to get an old modem it cannot be capped(without you doing nothing so i guess it would be legal?)

I heard by summertime, they're servicing more cities.
This is good news, I always prefer them over the big guys.
