Looks like a cover shooter style, I think, like The Division. They call it a "story-driven sci-fi Action RPG". I don't mind that style of game and I certainly like the setting. I'll be keeping an eye on this one!

 
There's a book series on the Expanse (read 8 of the 9 books, have book 9 just haven't got around to it)
Watched several of the Amazon series.
From the trailer, it doesn't appear to follow the book or TV story line directly or the characters.
 
I agree—the Expanse universe has so much potential for a story-driven RPG. Even if it doesn't follow the books or show directly, I'm intrigued to see how Owlcat handles the lore and gameplay. Definitely one to watch

Honestly that makes sense imo. The story from the books and series has been told. There's definitely a look of a connection to the other stories, based on the end of the trailer, but I'd be happy with new stories in The Expanse setting. I wouldn't want to replay the Amazon series for example, as much as I love that show.
