The Happy thread!

Morning feeding of cattle is done, now I'm in having a lazy mans late and waiting for the company that's delivering some furniture to arrive. It's nice to be inside and warm again ;).

Hoooray! Managed to recap old JetWay V600DAP mobo - it was recapped before, but around the ram and AGP I used testing serie of Samxon GC caps (d8, 1800uF GC) and they go bad. So as I need testing mainboard, it have to work fine and not unreliable... not even posting with PNY 6800GT, so... recapped and now it post fine and work as new (probably better that new, given the quality of the caps, lol) ...

Very happy that something is working well for me :)

My father dropped off my Hanukah/Christmas Gift that I had ordered last week (47" 1080p LED TV). Not that my parents bought it for me out right, they provided some money and I'm using my vacation pay to cover the rest of it. I don't get any vacation days, just the 4% of your salary paid out at the end of the year thing (Ontario employment policy).

Going to be setting it up tonight, finally my 27" 1440p Monitor can be used as a monitor again and not a TV for 5 months....

I have serious praise for Asus firmware recovery tool on their wireless router, the RT-AC66U. Mine went into a rescue mode for some reason this morning and it only took me a couple minutes to run the tool and it is back working and keep all my settings. This so easily could have been in the rant forum but thankfully it didn't. Really didn't want to fix stuff after spending all day doing it at work.

Well good news on one front, father passed the stress test with flying colours, so there's nothing chronic/seriously wrong with his hear.

My local community and family are working very hard at making our Christmas a good one, amazing people/organizations, very thankful parents here.

Success!!!

Operation went well, transplant done. I am now the proud new owner of a emerald green eye. Looks weird as hell considering I had/have dark brown.
Must say absolute nightmare having the surgery, your awake and while they say you see nothing they lie, I saw and remeber it all.
I'll post up some pics once the swelling goes down, looks pretty raw still.

******* amazing to see again, think 1950"s fuzzy black and white to ultra high deff. though it is getting a little blurry now, but I am told that normal, DR said it looks good stitching seams to be holding. That was a huge concern since my condition causes me to have 10% the eyewall thickness as a normal person he was worried that the stitches wouldn't hold even for a day.
