So my Lenovo Tab P11 Plus (1st) uses USB2.0 in USB-C format. That explains why none of my USB-C 3.0 hub works on the thing. Now the problem is I'm having problem locating a USB to Audio Jack with charging mini hub. There are plenty of those for USB-C 3.0 but so far no luck for USB-C 2.0 or even USB-A 2.0 (I can use an adapter). Anyone in the community would be familiar with this kind of peripheral? I could use BT on headphone on my device but I doubt it will last 15 hours.

Sigh, probably last update on this quest. Found a USB-C 2.0 OTG cable on Amazon that could split into USB-A and USB-C but all of them warn it will not do audio. I can't be sure if a DAC chipped adapter would even work after some of the online material so I'm not going to spend $30 for the experiment.

Just had a look around.
USB C 2.0 is such a strange choice... and I think youre screwed. Didn't look too far into it, but Im not certain 2.0 has any PD back charging capabilities when using a hub or dock? Doesn't seem like it anyways.

My suggestion would be to use a USB C to A adapter, and then connect it to an older, powered, USB 2.0 hub. It wont be able to charge your tablet though, and I cant seem to find any way around that.

It's the bidirectional handshaking of USB-C 3.x you really need, and dont have. Power delivery through a USB C dock to charge the tablet while at the same time giving you more ports for your peripherals.

All I can really suggest is get a multi output usb charger, and use two cables from it? One to charge the tablet and the other your headphones? Sorry it's not much help

The reason why I'm looking for charging with a DAC is that I'm planning a trip that involve long flight in economy class. The airline only have 13 movies and most of them are in a language that I don't understand. The tablet only has USB-C 2.0 port and no 3.5mm. I guess I could run BT for a few hours while the pod's dock is charging and then sleep while the thing is out of juice. Sleep on 15 hour red-eye in economy seat isn't easy to come by.

Have you tried something like a plain splitter instead of a hub?

Some reading suggests that the reason some hubs might not be working is they are trying to negotiate video (part of 3.0) when it isn't supported by the 2.0 port. So maybe something less complicated like just a splitter linked above might work.

@Izerous Afaik even that splitter requires PD handshaking over USB 3.x specs to work. Still no Bueno on a USB 2.0 device

@moocow honestly Id say my last previous suggestion is your best bet then. One charger with multiple outputs, and two cables charging the headphones and the tablet separately. BT audio.

I have a bunch of these that work just fine: Charger on Amzn
Its got one PD port (for charging your headphones / other newer devices) and three 5v/3a regular USB ports.

Sorry there doesnt seem to be any better solutions 🤷‍♂️

The splitter I mentioned before specifically look for ones that mention iPhone 15/16/17 non-pro models since Apple never bothered anything better than USB 2.0 for those devices either.

You won't necessarily get full speed charge because the PD might failover to low power but should work.

Yep, that looks like the plan, I already have one with a swapable AC side plug so I can use it on the plane. Thought I could reduce the number of cables floating around when sitting down.
