dont care which model you got, as long as it works with the above(basically any bell sympatico, at least the older ones do work)

local only. must be in good working condition, of course. dont want a unit that will overheat after a day worth of usage etc. will be on bittorrent doing linux distros 24/7.
must be cheap-ish :p

update : modem found, thanks guys. might need a second one to follow in dudes dual modem steps :p

looking for an amd or intel mobo, preferably 2+pci-e slots and must take latest cpus. and of course it has to use ddr2 sicne i still have some around.

I've got a td-8816. Well actually I have 2, one is still sealed and I opened the other one. I was originally gonna team up 2 teksavvy lines, but then I found out about dry loop fees so I wanted just one line. Then I found out that my mom is getting some damn good deals with rogers for being a 5 year old completely Rogers exclusive customers, so I guess we're sticking with rogers...

anyways back on topic, I've got a td-8816 modem, located in east end of toronto :)

nice. youve met pops before. trouble is even if you meet him now, he wont ship in maybe a couple weeks or more. need the modem in a few days
 
Looks like the same thing I've got with a built in switch. It's a great modem, give it a shot. $5 shipping though, and they ship from 4 blocks north of where I live if memory serves correctly. Bewawa is my ncix right now lol, maybe it'll change on the 21st :P Good luck with the search. Try local kijiji?
 
Don't you guys have Teksavvy cable yet (in MTL)?

I'd be careful of the TP Link td-8816. No offense, Mr. 0. :) I bought one thinking I could get something cheap and it didn't work very well apparently. I ended up getting a SpeedTouch...

I'd wait to see what cable's like but maybe you already know. It also depends how far away you're from the CO so if you're close, then I guess it's a toss up?
