XFORMA MBXenomorph MKII (Custom PC Watercooling)

Where were you able to buy the case? And for how much?

I had originally preordered it back in 2013. 020 would have been my plate.

Limited Edition murderbox MKII – $1200 USD

Internal Aquaero 5 PRO Mount – $60 USD
Single Rad & DDC Pump Mount – $70 USD
Illuminated Luminous Panel – $160 USD
EK-X3 EVO.2 Reservoir – $50 USD

GST: $77.00

Order Total: $1,617.00 USD
Shipping Estimate: $175 USD *

But all pre-orders were cancelled due to it breaking PayPal's rules. But then pre-orders reopen in another 2 years. By then, hardware and water cooling had changed so much. NVMe was in use, no one used mechanical HDDs in their main rigs. Plus there was a huge price increase. I don't recall what it was going to cost for a similar setup as I had planned. But IIRC it was now over $2K USD, and the Canadian dollar was substantially worse. So I didn't put an order in.

I wouldn't mind one now tho.

Nice build. I have a friend who has one. They are a bit dated interior these days, but still leaps and bounds better than anything on the market as far as build quality goes.

There was a time when I wanted one. Having admired what Charles had created. At this point I would rather do a scratch build for what computers are now. I do have one of the reservoirs that he had EKWB make for them. They are unique and well-built. Everything Charles was involved with did end up like that.

I have purchased one in Europe from another owner, all brand new, it was sitting in a box all those years. Yeah ... it is an expensive piece of art :)

There is currently one for sale on ebay.ca if you still really want one @lowfat
