with a price of $520 ($550 in Canada)

I too love the look of the XFX coolers. Reminds me of an Mi6 James Bond briefcase or something. Perfect for playing Absolution. Heh. Thanks for taking a look at this card Sky. The more the better.

most people rag on xfx coolers.. honestly with these 290/x's im really starting to think its all lucky binning that gets you good overclocks.

My 290x is waterblocked never reaches over 40*C gup/mems or vrms and black screens if i touch voltages even 1mv .. so it only oc's to 1050-1075 ish or i get black screens. other cards like this are getting over 1200 easy.. doesnt make alot of sense to me.

Yup. Luck of the draw. I think it best to spend a little extra on ones that are already binned. Slim pickens with all the coin mining that has been going on I think.

In general hawaii does not overclock much, water or not, even at high volts

I've actually found that oddly enough, system specs affect overclocking on these cards as well. For example, on my Z87 system this card hits a maximum of 1201MHz.
