so I cam into a little money around 2300 so I am thinking getting a laptop for my downtime at graveward shift work so some gamin probably POE2 but also when I get home want to be able to plug in a external 8 tb hard drive which has my TV shows movies on and also plug it into both my 55"4k tv which I always have kodi on and my old lcd 27" 1080p tv for home use web surfing things like that and of course my keyboard and wireless mouse but I can't seem to find any that that has details any help would be great

As long as it can fit in my Backpack 14-16" weight really doesn't matter spec features like i mentioned above as long as i can plug in an external probably KB and mouse and an external 8tb hard drive and also into my 55" 4k 120Hz TV and second older 27" 1080p TV at the same time with simple gaming like POE2 with at least medium, settings , new or refurb slightly used all good also . it wopuld be used when at home for watching TV movies and the basic day to day web browsing youtube email stuff on smaller TV through laptop. and also watching vids from HD atached t olaptop connected to 55" 4k TV when at work downtime would be just laptop with mouse maybe watching vids or youtube maybe games depending on which shift I am working also mostly plugged .
right now my set ups are my Gamign PC which is opnly for gaming and mty media PC which is a 5600g connected the same way as what I wopuld like the laptops as one screen 4k120hz TV for kodi and the smaller 1080p TV for everything else but now tha t Iam working more and all the shifts are afternoons graveyars I would just unplug the laptap from everything and bring it to work for my down time which is mostly sitting at the cameras watching a fenced area and patrolling every few hours on foot .
my current suface pro which is older when I bring it to work was lagging just watching youtube videos and well I had multiple tabs open an two web broiswers I loked at the ram whic his 8GB and its pretty much all used up so would need more then gb ram whic hagain I guess being able to upgrade and or add more ram and ssd would also be a thing

That's the model I've been running for a while (sale on through RFD). I've been quite happy with it.

Word(s) of warning when you go to upgrade the memory.... The manual has you disconnecting the battery to do the swap, and it's a good idea as there's a metal shroud to remove that's surrounded by live traces.... if you don't want sparks, follow the manual and disconnect the battery.

The other thing I found with the memory swap is that the memory training takes a ridonkulous amount of time. So much that I initially thought the memory was incompatible. Best bet is to do the switch, turn power on, and walk away for 5 - 10 minutes and when you come back it should be good to go. :)


That's the "cheap" stick I grabbed to throw onto mine.
