LTT Truespec Cables . Cables that are able to preform up to spec .

They are fantastic screwdrivers. The only issue with them is cost. I've used one daily for work for 3 years without issue. Bought a 2nd for home use about a year later.
I wouldnt go so far as to say fantastic. The plastic is soft so they dent easily. The bits fall out at random times. The ratcheting switch randomly turns when in use. The bits are soft and dont last long. For $30 it would be fantastic. For $100 it's a scam.

I have no idea if these cables are going to be preposterously priced, but I would guess so purely based on almost ALL decent cables being stupidly priced. As @FreeKnight mentioned earlier, that's been a common thing in retail for ages. That said, it's not like LTT are going to be the only place overpricing cables. I'm not defending them or anything; I just think they'll be yet another decent quality, but high priced item in the LTT store. (Don't get me startd on what he's charging for a backpack.)

@Cannon Fodder , I have two of the LTT screwdrivers (one that stays at the house and one in my to-go bag) and I actually quite like them. They aren't perfect, but they ARE often the ones I reach for before anything else. That said, I bought both of them on sale when they offered them cheap as a 'mystery color' (I got black/green in both cases) and I paid $50 CAD each. At that price, I'd say they're still a bit overpriced, but not terribly so. At the regular price of $90 CAD, I'd say they're not necessarily worth the price just given that there are a LOT of great options for that price or less. Although it's all personal preference.

Bit of a rant here...

I've said this before: I don't understand the hate that Linus gets. I know he's not for everyone, but I've met him a couple times back in the NCIX days and he always seemed pleasant enough. No different than anyone else of his age, just getting by in Vancouver. I'm sure that time and fame has changed him a lot, and naturally you become a bigger target the more fame you have. I get that he's made mistakes along the way, but he does typically come around and correct them. Also, owning a company and having the responsibilities that come along with that creates a MASSIVE amount of stress, and can definitely harden you over time. Nobody ever appreciates the sacrifices it takes to build something and get it off the ground unless you've been there.

I get that LTT isn't for everyone, and that's totally fine. Just the same, a lot of people here like Steve from Gamer's Nexus, and I'm not really a big fan of his. His reviews are fine, but he always seems so focused on negatives and slander reporting, which is ironic given his beef with Linus. Also, he's not a professional journalist, yet he markets his subjective views like they are from a position of authority. BUT... that's my opinion, and it's fine if that's different than anyone/everyone else's. I'll still watch specific vidoes of LMG or GN if they cover a topic I'm interested in, but I don't really 'follow' anyone in particular.
Linus as a youtube personality is fine. His videos arent for everyone but they are ok for the most part. I dont look to him for perfect technical detail, I put him on for entertainment. That being said, the recent migration away of his long time employees tells more about him as a businessman than a person. When they talk about working for him and not receiving wage increases in 3 years, especially in GVR where it's hard to get by in the best of times, and he is buying new residential and commercial properties it leaves a bad taste for me. I understand it's the nature of business but most people who milk their employees for all of their worth while they get fat aren't in our faces constantly so it's much easire to form an opinion here.

I drop it all the time on to hard floors / concrete. Some scratches but no dents. Never have bits fall out, even when dropped. Never replaced a bit in 3 years of daily use. Unless you are throwing them in an impact, I don't see why would ever have to replace bits as long as you are using the correct size.

PF did include bit failure, and LTT came in 4th for normal screwdriver. Overall, LTT screwdriver came in second, behind PB Swiss, which is twice the cost.

He tested the precision screwdriver today. The bits didn't seem very good. CLIFFS, best screwdriver, but bits drag it down.

I hsve this thing fro a year and itsc scratched. I have a picquic for 16 years and it doesnt show anything. And I use it for everything. I don't even want to use the LTT one because of what it cost. lol

Bits falling out of the handle holder.

This screwdriver at this price needs to be able to withstand my wife. So far not so much. lol. And while it does ratchet, I stand by my assertion that it doesnt compare to the picquic at 1/3 of the cost. One thing that really bother me about this screwdriver is the length. I may find it more useful if the barrel was longer. Espcecially for pc work where I may need to fish out stray screws, etc.

Of course its a scam. Does anyone here actually think he's releasing these cables out of the goodness of his heart or an actual market gap / market confusion? F*** no. He wants to cash in, as quickly as possible. People are going to buy his overpriced crap, and that's all he cares about, money. Disgusting.

See above. He's scum. Just another rich POS that has no real knowledge or skill, doing his best to screw over anyone and everyone, for money.

I checked out their site, and the pricing is there..... depends on the cable, & the length, but IIRC they were generally in the $16 - $27 range.

They are ok. But not for the price. Not when you can get a picquic for much less. It's on the same level of these cables. No ratcheting screwdriver is worth $100 and I am incredibly dissapointed that I paid that price.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I haven't bought one of them, i.e. although I know there's times where it would've come handy, due to its' functionality, that price for a screwdriver is hard to justify. It's all relative, I suppose..... I have to wonder if you thought that ROG Astral 5090 was worth ~$4600, or were you equally disappointed that you paid that price, and that's why you unloaded it?

Yeah, the sheer number of people that have left is somewhat revealing, all by itself. Just watched Jake's video yesterday, which sounds suspiciously like you must've watched it recently too.

I think that we’ve established long ago that I have a pc parts problem. 😂

Funny watching people moan about their boss having so much. Yeah thats how it works. They risk it all and if it pays off it can be a great success. Hopefully you get a decent wage as an employee and by all accounts their wages are 80-100k range which is pretty good imo. Can't speak on the working conditions but it cant be that bad 😂
