I purchased an Alienware Keyboard and TacX mouse almost 1 year ago and the TacX mouse scroll wheel lost it's click and also would not scroll on the page properly. Did a Google search and many posts mentioned that Alienware peripherals only had a 90 day limited warranty.

I called Dell customer service and got transferred to support in which they transferred me to Alienware support in Costa Rica.

I gave them my order number and told them the problem and Alienware told me that it was covered for 1 year and that they would be sending out a new mouse within the next 48 hours.
On my part all I have to do is return the broken mouse in the return shipping label/box that they will provide with the new mouse. No cost to me for anything.

I think that rocks and am very glad that I went with Dell and Alienware's keyboard and mouse combo. Not only does it work great but they stand behind their products with speedy warrant and great customer support.

Just wanted to pass this along to anyone that thought it was only a 90 day warranty on new Alienware peripherals.

Well I'm glad you got your mouse replaced and had a good experience with their customer service.
Then again it makes me think... it shouldn't break within a year in the first place and if it does... of course it should be replaced without additional cost to the customer. Over here in Germany 2 year warranties are the legal minimum for new items.

Gotta like the 2 year warranty that you have there. and about the broke after 1 year, there is a little bit more to the story then I wrote! :) I purchased an Alienware mouse on sale a year ago as a back up to the Alienware mouse/keyboard that I bought almost a year ago before that! Nudge nudge wink wink! :)

Off topic..what part of Germany are you in if you don't mind me asking? I lived in Baden-Soellingen with the Canadian Military for 4 years back in the 80's.

Okay I see what you did there :haha:

I'm from Bavaria. I didn't know there were Canadian Military bases in Germany.. I do live near a US base tough.

I served in Baden `86 - `90. I believe our other base (Lahr) was in Bavaria, while Baden was in the Black Forest proper.
