Intel is Screwed...they are so screwed! GO AMD GO!!!

ouch. We will see how it plays out.

Question is can AMD take that delay and gain grounds in mobile and server markets. Even now AMD mobile offerings by OEMs are pretty slim.

True. But look at the ground that has been gained on mobile in the last 12 months or so. In 2018 there were almost zero competitive amd laptops. Now there are options available at most price points.

Intel missed the boat a long time ago. AMD jumped into known sales stats when getting onboard with PlayStation. They know exactly how much money they'll make with the PS5 as console gaming owns the gaming market over PC.

Play any cross platform game and you'll see. Sometimes when I'm playing regular multiplayer COD I'll be the only mouse with 80% being PS4.

Don't discount Intel's shady tactics since they still have a pretty big war chest. While things have improved, the OEM desktop and laptop are still offering Intel. I bet they will continue with their usual BS to get OEM to sell Intel chips despite the fact that it is no longer that competitive on a technical level. Got to wonder if OEM and enterprise scale customers will continue to be "convinced" if performance differences are becoming more obvious and well know. I don't count DIY and enthusiast markets since we are small potato in the grand scheme of things.

That's not small potatoes.

Intel is hardly screwed. In a bad position, compared to their previous high, but their Net income is $21 BILLION last year. AMD, even with their success only netted $341 million last year. That's about 62x AMD.

If push comes to shove and they really start to feel threatened they'll throw enough money at the problem to make it go away. While for the enthusiast market they're certainly feeling pressure, they've got the capacity to weather a lot more than AMD right now. Hopefully AMD capitalizes on this and doesn't fall into the intel trap of releasing micro-updates of chips as new SKUs constantly which wouldn't help their competitive edge, but we'll see. It seems they're already starting to put out an awful lot of 3xxx chips.
