Hello fellows,

I have a Gigabyte M32U monitor with a built-in KVM. I am able to connect my laptop and desktop. The monitor signal does change between the desktop and laptop when I use the KVM button. I have the mouse and keyboard plugged in the USB ports in the monitor but they only work for the laptop. I am unable to get them to work with the desktop. So I have to unplug them every time and plug them into the desktop.

Does anyone know why this issue is happening?

Thank you in advance,

CG

Hi, no I am using a USB-C to TYPE-C cable for the laptop. The issue is not with the laptop it is with the desktop. The desktop will not recognize the mouse and keyboard plugged into the monitor!

That's interesting. When you go to the KVM wizard on the monitors menu what does it show is tied to Displayport/HDMI? It should be USB-B and your laptop should be Type-C:Type-C

The laptop recognizes them, so the cables work. The desktop does not recognize them unless I plug the USB cables directly into the desktop.
