Purchasing from Sidewinder Computers - Duties, Taxes, Hidden Fees?

Well... I called the new number and someone picked up. Tried asking, but they said they were moving and didn't have time to answer it.

Purchasing from Sidewinder Computers - Duties, Taxes, Hidden Fees?

I definitely don't have high hopes, but I'll ask anyway. Worst comes to worst I'll ship to my Amerifriend, or sit 3-6 weeks for NCIX to have stock again. Thats good to know. I was thinking Sidewinder was like Newegg.ca, but logically thinking about it, I'm not paying Canadian taxes on my...

Purchasing from Sidewinder Computers - Duties, Taxes, Hidden Fees?

Unfortunately they're moving right now, so I can't ask them directly. Did you ship using UPS Canada option? How much stuff did you order? I guess their wording of "For domestic U.S. and Canada customers, there is no handling fee, packaging fee, or any hidden fees. Our website shipping...

Purchasing from Sidewinder Computers - Duties, Taxes, Hidden Fees?

Sidewinder has a discount right now for shipping to Canada  Just wondering, it says on their website that UPS Canada shipping has no hidden fees. Anyone have any experience with Sidewinders in general? What you see on their website is exactly what you pay? UPS is notorious for...

    AMD Phenom II 955 BE @ 3.8Ghz

You're hitting the heat wall. Either lower your voltages, or get better cooling. In your mind, you should have a good idea of the minimum voltages needed to hit 3.6ghz. Right now, you should set your multiplier back to stock, and overclock your cpu-nb. The Vcpu-nb and Vcore SHOULD NOT MATCH...

    AMD Phenom II 955 BE @ 3.8Ghz

As Cowboy says, if you're trying to shoot for 4.0ghz, you should have the CPU-NB at 2.6ghz or higher. PhenomII's hate heat. Unfortunately, I believe you're heating the "heat wall" at 54C. Have you tried backing down on the Vcore and increasing CPU-NB frequencies instead to stabilize...

    PHENOM II 955 WATER COOLING

To be honest, those look on the high side. I have no experience with WC, but at stock volts and frequencies, not to mention 18C ambients, those are the temps I would expect from the stock AMD cooler. As a reference, I'm running an unlocked 550BE (Essentially a 955BE), 3.2ghz, 2.0ghz cpu-nb, at...
