    Thanks for the input. And honestly, I haven't had anything weird happen really, just lower than expected usage in some games. But it seems like they're just overly CPU dependent. Games like Tomb Raider and Infinite have been perfect with scaling.

    I'll give those a try. And that is set in the BIOS. It's a Seagate Barracuda 2TB(ST2000DM001) drive that I added, I have 2 of them in my system now. The rest of my system is pretty basic: i5-4670k, a 7970, ASUS Z87-A, 500w PSU, 8gb of RAM and an SSD.
