200GB to 25GB: Canada gets first, bitter dose of metered Internet

You should see the post on RFD.

And there's a douchebag that defends the logic behind it. You'll see who it is...

So is Steam/direct2drive and online gaming in General.

I just dont understand how a decision like this was taken in 2011.

People are going to start running Cat6 across the border if this goes on :D

Oh no! Payment according to use for private infrastructure! The world is coming to an end!!
and that is where you are wrong. that infrastructure was paid for by the public through heavily subsidized service that continues today along with monopolistic legislation imposed by the government that at one time was a necessity, but far from that now. it seems the government and Bell have forgotten who paid for that network...but it sure as **** ain't privately owned.

this is an underhanded attempt by the telco's to preserve their strangle hold on canadian media by forcing people to maintain cable/sat/telephone service. the government, AKA Mr Tony Clement, should be ashamed for allowing this to happen and should be put on trial for conspiracy to commit corporate fraud on all of the country for it.

so before you starting talking about shyt, perhaps you should do your historical research. this is robbery, plain and simple.

Meanwhile, I still don't have any cap :bleh: I told Bell where they could stick their crappy connection in 2007.

25GB, seriously, my Steam folder is 3 times that size and I have maybe 3 games currently installed.
