Hey everyone,

Looking to buy an i9 9900k build for a Blue Iris (AI-based CCTV setup + home server), and I'm looking through Kijiji for some fair deals.

What would you say is a fair dollar value for the system below?

CPU: Intel Core i9 9900K
Mobo: Asus Z390-E Gaming Motherboard
RAM: 32GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3000MHz DDR4 RAM
CPU Cooler:
NZXT Kraken X63 280mm AIO Liquid Cooler
GPU:
MSI GTX 1080 GamingX 8GB GDDR5x
SSD1: 500GB Samsung 960 Evo M.2 Nvme
SSD2: SSD 1TB Intel 540s SSD
PSU: Corsair TX850M Gold Rated Modular PSU Phanteks P600s Case

I don't care too much for the GPU... I'd be willing to negotiate it out of the value.

What would you say, ballpark, this system would be worth?

Cheers!

High end kit that's relatively new is super difficult to price. Maybe add up what current retail is and subtract 25 - 30% as a starting point and expect to pay -15 - 20% (as well as the no tax savings)?

edit: As a bargaining tactic you can also throw together a new build with similar performance and then apply the same kind of "fairly new but used" discount to that price.

Thank you.

Fair enough. I found someone online asking for $1,200 for this (sans GPU). I'm trying to negotiate $1,100.00.

I'd like to give a fair offer, but wanted some reassurance that this would be a fair valuation. I'll do some digging online to find a comparable build.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ makes it relatively easy to get an idea on retail cost today. Should point you in the right direction at least.
