Yeah, it was the halloween update (which is very awesome)
Just need to find myself some skeleton dinos so I can kill em and get the skin.
 
pretty good game, one of the few games that are good to play with your wife / GF

we bought it with the last 33% sale on steam and i don't regret it, we have a lot of fun
Beware, the game demands a powerfull PC. Sure you can lower the graphics but even that is not enough sometimes.

My GF has a FX 8150 + radeon HD6850 , and i woud say it's a bare minimum GPU wise to be playable (read medium quality @20fps).
 
I've been playing this since launch day. This game makes me believe again in Early Access, however as stated above it's pretty demanding on a GPU.
 
Picked it up about 5 days ago and I've been having a good time so far. Unfortunately I started out in a PVP server without knowing much about the game so there's always the fear of logging in and having all your stuff pillaged. I upgraded the GPU yesterday to a 980ti and although I am able to play at my monitors native resolution I get around 30 to 40 fps in game on medium which is pretty slow. Hopefully as the game grows it will get polished.

I haven't really ventured into pub servers much. I have (or at least used to have, not sure if I still do) a character on a PVE server, but I haven't logged in on that one since halloween since I only made him to try to get some of the free keys during the halloween giveaway.

Mostly flip between my single player game (now max level 100 - woo!) and my private server game with the kids (level 35 I think)

My next project in my solo game is to outfit my quetzal with as many plant species x turrets as I can fit on it and fly around murderizing the damn giganotos that have been killing me. Actually...since I have two of em I can have one set to follow for twice the firepower. Hmmm...

Still need to get around to installing my industrial forge that I made somewhere too. Was going to stick it on a quetzal but they patched that out. Maybe time to make a mountainside smelting base somewhere (once giganatos have been neutralized)
 
I'm running a dedicated server on my htpc since it has 32 Gb ram 850 Pro SSD boot app drive and I'm running Valhalla map I'll be doing final testing over Christmas to work out Kinks in mods iv got running like dragons. Auto. Feeders for turd collection and refrigerated troff so meat don't spoil. Stacking item mod so you can carry more then 30 Pc's of meat. Dino armour. Buffed tranq darts for taking down Dino's. Dino lvl cap 1-300 or if too easy 1-4250 as I don't like seeing low lvl Dino's all over.
 
Yeah it's more addictive then wow for me lol in the server I'm running me and friends always have something to do maintain or rebuild. In wow it felt more and more I was solo playing against 5 million or so ppl guilds dead try join new one is like a job application and most time tried raiding they wanted you to have gear ahead of current content or you couldn't apply lol so ark has filled that role I got ppl I can play with and things to do.
 
Would you mind pm'ing me the addy of your server Shadow? Me and a few buddies love this game, but its been hard to find a good server to call home. Disclaimer * I can be an unholy scourge on the country side** My buddies not so much lol
 
Pm sent I'll be on hopefully on Jan 2nd when I'm back in town I will be changing mods around heard behemoth walls are in so I'll be tearing down my prison and relocating a lil bit.
