Interesting Everest is the most recommended on this forum! I have never heard of that company before. In addition, I do not see it recommended in any reviews of the best keyboards. Must be a hidden Internet gem :)

Absolutely a gem. The design is brilliant and works great. Also in my experience so far their software works, and isn't obnoxious!

I doubt Everest sends out free keyboards for reviews as much as the more well know brands. I have the silent keys and they are very good as well. I don't miss the clackity clack noise.

They've been around for a while. Here's HWC's Review:

Was going to link that and forgot. Thanks @SugarJ ! And the complaint about the finish in that review seems better on the version of the keyboard I have. Perhaps they updated it since then. The pattern in the machining is still there, but more subtle to my eye.

I'll be honest that Everest Max sure looks nice. I just wish they had bluetooth so that I could connect it to my work laptop without the kvm.

Seriously do like it and am tempted.

The everest is really appealing I think the only reason i didn't give it a shot last time around was the price. Everything else about it is really tempting to try.

Yeah price was what delayed me for a long time too. Then I tried the 95% ASUS one (wireless, crazy long name I can never remember lol) that I really liked, also expensive, but couldn't get used to that form factor. So then after accepting that I still really did want all the full size keys and layout, with an option for TKL size, and a numpad when necessary... the Everest rose to the top.

Hopefully it lasts a long time to help cushion the price. I did by mine through Amazon.ca.

Basically same situation for me. Having a numberpad on the left side would be a huge perk doing data entry in Excel.

I don't do enough these days to justify it though.

I notice on their homepage they have the MX Speed Silver, but out of stock for now. Anyone know why they do not offer Optical keys?
