1. What YOUR PC will be used for. Streaming Video to my TV, web browsing, some gaming

2. What YOUR budget is. $500 + whatever I get from selling my current system.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from. Canada

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. Doesn't matter but prefer something that last for at least 3 years

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are. SSD, as many as I can.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds. Maybe with stocked fan.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it? next month or two

9. What resolution do you use? 1680*1050

Also, hoping to sell my current system (without the SSD). How much do you guys think I can sell it for?

Thanks a lot

I currently have 3 setups in mind.

i5-760+ MSI H55-GD65

AMD 955 + Gigabyte 870A-UD3

AMD 1055T + Gigabyte 870A-UD3

My video card in mind is either GTX 460 or 5850.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Does the MSI P55A-G55 has usb 3.0? (Does it worth the extra?)

Not really want to go dual core useless is significantly cheaper.

Just from curiosity what's the performance improve for i3 530 from my old E6600?

how much do you guys think I should sell my computer for?

Based on those benchmark. It doesn't seem convincing just to upgrade it to an i3.

Your biggest bang for the buck would be to upgrade your video card. You will have to check some of the buy and sell forums like red flag deals to see what people are asking for their gear. It will sell quicker if you part out.

based on that, maybe get a gtx 460 or wait another week and see how ati's mid end does?
