Build Leaking From EK Link. No Longer Leaking

Hey guys. Just finished building my watercooled PC that took two years of putzing around. I've got two 290x's with EK blocks. I got all the bubbles out last night, but noticed a small leak from the 2nd gpu's EK Link. It was late and I didn't want to tear the build apart to fix the leak and figured ide do it this morning. I turn the power on to see the leak again and there is nothing. It's been over an hour.

Is it possible that the link dried up and resealed itself?

was the leak from the line or the fitting? when ever I have done a build I would run the pumps for 24 hrs with paper tower around every connection, it is possible that it might have sealed but I would still triple check to make sure that the stopped leak isn't from expansion when system is warmed up because if that is the case then when the system cools down and you sire it up again it might start leaking again.

Can you take a close-up picture of the place where it leaked?

It was leaking from both sides of the EK link. I know it has to do with the two orings behind the link that attaches to the block. I didn't wet them before installing them, but they were very malleable. I didn't think it was necessary.

Did you removed the link from the block prior to installing it? If you did, maybe one of the o-ring did moved from it's seating.
 
Plumbers grease would do the trick. I use it to butter up the rubber rings on flush valves for toilets and urinals before I tighten them up so the rubber rings don't get cut up.
 
Might need new O rings. My 295x2 had the exact same leak in the exact same spot. The rings for some reason shrink after a while. I could send you one if you like, pretty sure those link blocks all use the same rings.

edit: which chassis is that? That one doesnt look too big and fits a 420 rad which Id like to use without buying a chassis that needs a fridge dolly to move.

Just tore my build apart. I have a couple extra o rings on hand. I appreciate the offer though. I will get some grease for it the next time I put it back together.

The chassis is a Corsair Air 540. Its a great case, but not really any room to put a tube res in the main compartment and that is giving me second thoughts of keeping the case. I really want a Corsair 760T.. I can only dream...
