Crucial MX200 500GB & 1TB SSD Review Comment Thread

Yeah. The Pro is pretty much meant to compete against Intel's workstation solutions.

Its good to see that its on par with the 840 pro at the very least. The 850 pro is appx $1/gb... expensive!

The features, other than some elements of DWA, are incorporated into all MX200 capacities.
Thanks.

Though DWA sounds like a nice feature, at current Crucial's price points I'll most likely go with an MX200, as I only have had positive experience with a couple of their M4s.

One thing I have to mention about Crucial is their customer support is awesome. Quick responses, good shipping times and no cross-border taxes.

Now I'm eagerly awaiting the BX100 review. It would be nice to see a value line SSD with good reliability, especially since the price difference in the 1TB BX and MX is $100.

Would Hardware Canucks have any interest in reviewing the Acronis True Image that comes with Crucial's MX200 or not really?

Its Acronis True Image HD....its a fairly basic, but competent cloning package. As with OCZ, and all the rest that include it....claiming it has a value of $49 is ....well...stretching things a tad too much. Its not in the same league as Ti Home 2014. Actually (IIRC) the latest version is built on Ti Home 2014 edition - but it is handicapped in its abilities compared to the 'full' 'premium' edition. Would I use it if I didn't own Ti Home 2015? Yeah. Its decent and gets the job done. It supports win 8.1 natively, and is a nice bonus, but would I consider it a replacement for Home 2014/2015? Nope. I would not buy brand A ssd over brand B because of it.....but like I said many are including it nowadays so its almost a moot issue. ;)
