DDR3 won't make waves for some time: Bit-Tech

I somewhat disagree. If you get decent DDR2 that overclocks well, the bandwidth more than makes up for it. Sempron AM2's are capable of beating S939 AMD64 1MB L2 cpu's power with a measly 256MB L2 cache when running high FSB speeds. I know a few guys with some AM2 Sempy's who are maxing them right out with a chiller and the scores they are getting out of them are nothing short of amazing. DDR3 is totally not needed yet though. THey really need to slow down on the upgrade cycle, it is quite silly now.
