Deus Ex: HR honestly most amazing FPS I've played so far!

11 out of 10.

Seriously.

The whole story, the way the AI works, the way you can move your way around the world, the difficulty, the way you can build your character. It works wonders.

If you haven't played this yet, BUY IT (don't find it on the river). This game is seriously worth buying.

I thought Half-Life 2 was pretty gnarly, but this story made me feel connected.

Play it now! :thumb:

Good to hear as the original DeusEx is probably my favoite game of all time.

Been spending every waking moment on LOTRO as there is an expansion coming out on Tuesday and I want to blitz the expansion when it goes live so it might be awhile (like maybe Christmas) but DeusEx HR is on my list to Santa for sure. :)

Sssh! Not too loud! You'll get the Deus Ex 1 fans riled up!

But yeah, apart from the boss battles (which really weren't as bad as they were made out to be,) I was very pleased with the gameplay. I only had two real qualms: The ending choices did not feel anywhere near as involving as in DE:1, nor were they as satisfying. The second thing problem was that the game felt a little short, compared to the first.

Still, I would say DE:HR was a triumph, much like its predecessor.

This makes up for Invisible War. Thank you for actually giving me a proper inventory again! I was so worried when I saw the trailers that this was going to be dumbed down into another typical run and gun shooter. I'm glad to see I was wrong. Also, all the references to the first game (Bob Page, Versalife, Manderley, etc) were very nice to see and definitely made it feel like it was a part of the Deus Ex universe. I'd love to see an overhaul of Deus Ex 1 using this new engine.

Honestly, an amazing game. I've lost countless hours of reviewing time to it already. If there is one slightly negative comment I have it is that the music (while amazing) gets slightly repetitive.

I liked it enough to warrant a replay. That's about as good as games can get for me, other than the first mass effect

Almost same, but only enough to play most levels and see the missions I missed to get more achievements. It ended up almost being another complete playthrough, but even with this DLC, I can't see myself playing it again for a long time.

Best game I played in a long time, may have to play it again.
