DO NOT BUY GIGABYTE

After 2 gigabyte boards, I'm glad to be back with Asus. My x58-ud5 would lose connection with my keyboard regularly, and my p67-ud7 had various "bugs".

Gifted the p67 to my uncle, he paired it with an ivy bridge only to find the multiplier capped with gigabyte's bios- so no overclock for him.

I've had great success with gigabyte, and prefer to use them over asus. I think it's time for an update from OP...

I have had very bad luck with Gigabyte mostly their 890fx line but these days I don't even recommend Asus its MSI all the way in my house even though only one system I own has a msi board the other 3 are asus haha

Well I'm replying using a p55-ud3 with an I7 870 sending DNS requests to my server running on my old p55 UD2, both still running strong. I bought 5 or 6 UD3 at the office for workstations, all still running strong. Gigabyte is no worse than Asus of MSI, it's all about hazard. I started with Gigabyte, they never disappointed so I keep using 'em. I'd consider switching to Asus only because they have an RMA center in Ontario.

Yep, we should be grateful to have support for used hardware. If this keeps up, sooner or later we are all going to have to register our Motherboards, PSU, RAM and maybe even the cooling fans.:haha:

I usually buy gigabyte because of the lower price tag. My Gigabyte board are still running strong, except for the few minor glitches.

I hope this has been resolved. Its been 2 years now.

I blame this old thread for not being able to sell my Gigabyte motherboard last year in BST. It turned out well for me though, I made an extra $40 selling it on eBay...to a Canadian!

Still using Gigabyte boards, and I was thinking of building an all-Gigabyte rig just to spite the OP.
