EK Not paying employees vendors and more.

I'll be blunt I always kept EK in the same general regard as FrozenCPU which isn't very good. I have emails from FrozenCPU management somewhere with them berating me after thousands in custom orders for myself and custom builds for others (started liquid cooling back in 2003ish, and doing some custom builds for others not just myself). Even back then I avoided EK when possible. But espiecally back then sometimes only had so many options for suppliers and parts.

As a result I used to order so much through Koolance they used to send me a box of chocolates at Christmas with a signed Christmas card from their staff. The wave of AIOs I mostly stopped doing that, just not worth the time and effort for the pennies I charged people (I did it more because I liked it than anything).

But really this feels apocalyptic for the company. Anything that remains I think will always be clouded by it's current state and practices. new name, new management, people stepping down completely etc might be the only way out of this.

My takeaway was focused more on the "friends" of management who were billing large amounts for third party consulting. No indication if they were also in the "not being paid" column, but the amounts were significant, and looked very much like C Suite looting which resulted in insolvency.
I am pretty sure it was being paid as it was billed because EK staff at headquarters questioned ED about it and his response that I mentioned above is just BS.

Not at the ridiculous prices they think they can charge. Overpriced and overhyped imo. Watercool and bitspower make blocks that meet them in quality and performance for less.
In every review I have seen their AM4/5 and Intel CPU blocks outperform almost everyone's by 2-7 degrees, only EK/Heatkiller/bitspower come within a degree or 2 and when it comes to pricing they are only slighty higher then bits/heatkiller but cheaper then Ek, but to each their own I have heard nothing but great things and I don't see any huge price difference your talking about, maybe GPU blocks as I have never look since I dont water cool GPU's anymore. 😁

I never had a chance to get my hands on one for myself but a few people I know have used them and only praise the build quality/performance

About halfway through it, playing it while I'm doing laundry and cleaning and it's a pretty damning summary of a company mostly failed due to incompetent and/or corrupt executives.

I Know plenty of people that have issued of QC error from them. And if they are lucky they get some communitcation and get it sorted. but others have been ghosted. Apparently they are working on improving their customer service. but yeah $300 vs $100. I know which one id go for.
